Job Title: IT Systems Developer, Customer Applications

Role Summary/Purpose

The IT Developer will be responsible for development and support of Web based Contact center applications on Java and Cloud technologies. The person will be part of the AGILE team, working with Product Owner and Project Manager/Scrum Master to implement the business and technology enhancements for the application.

 

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the development and support of Call Center cloud & web based applications
  • Work with Business, Tech Lead and relevant IT teams to implement solutions web projects
  • Lead onsite diagnosis and resolution of IT related issues using the standard diagnostic tools and techniques
  • Drive root cause analysis and ensure consistently high availability for the business to ensure they meet their objectives
  • Review SDLC or Agile artifacts and provide input for IT requirements, estimates, design, code and release plans.
  • Develop and implement best practices for SDLC or Agile.
  • Identify new opportunities to drive system improvements and simplifications.
  • Ensure compliance with security, compliance, architecture, and technology standards.
  • Work with infrastructure and business teams to support planned maintenance activities.
  • Work with vulnerability management to ensure application and system vulnerabilities are being addressed.
  • Ensure systems and applications are current through LCM and upgrade activities.
  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.

 

Qualifications / Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science / Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 3+ years + of IT experience.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience working with web-based technologies
  • Minimum 3+ year of hands-on experience on Java and J2EE technologies including Spring, ReactJS and experience in creating microservices.
  • Experience in Oracle database with good understanding of RDBMS
  • Good understanding of SDLC processes (waterfall and Agile) and release management processes
  • Willing to work flexible shift timings to be able to respond to emergencies
  • Superior oral and written communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills

 

Desired Qualifications:
  • Good understanding of bank card, private-label, or financial services business
  • Strong business acumen
  • Working experience on Cloud technologies and Micro-services
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to influence clients, team members, management and external groups
  • Ability to work on all phases of complex work
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently or in a team environment
  • Understanding of technical architecture in order to provide quality solutions for business growth
  • Experience with analyzing, using structured problem solving and available tools to troubleshoot highly complex systems in a crisis environment, identify root cause, action plans, impact and resolution option
  • Previous experience in Finance or other credit card processing.
