If you are placed through campus. Don't even imagine that you will get a mechanical work even though they have mechanical works. After a training they will put you in any of the projects, even if its not of your interest. It can be even documentation or some kind of testing!

TCS hiring a mechanical engineer itself is a big contradiction! One reason you are opting IT job is because you don't have any other choice now. You can justify your software skill, if you have done any projects orif you have any interest in programming skills.

Sir, I don't have any certificates of training besides a certificate in C++. I also don't have any extra curricular. Many of my friends has done Design courses. So does company demand any certificates and curricular? Because I have only my academic achievement of topper to write into resume.

Certificates related to the job profile will be always an advantage. Since you are from mechanical background you don't have anything to justify. Anyway you are switching the domain, so you can highlight your software skills.

While companies comes to campus they won't evaluate on your software skills, they do just check whether candidates is good in aptitudes i.e. whether he can catch the things fast. IT companies have there own training, they'll teach you from basics.

Its not good to write the courses which are not over yet, in a resume, but you can mention basic knowledge on those in skills in skills section. While in F2F interview you can tell that currently you are pursuing course.
