In Information Technology, Infrastructure management is the management of various essential and operational components of an organization. It includes various sub-categories like data management, policies management, human resource management, process management, equipment management, external contacts management and so on. It is also subdivided into 3 categories generally system management, storage management and network management.
For data, the main purpose is to increase capacity with lesser space and cost. Other purpose is to reduce duplication with reduce effort.
For policies, the main purpose is to frame policies so as to adapt with the changing environment and ensure proper functionality of various services.
For human resource, how to ensure proper functioning within the organization and development for the same.
