Dear Saurabh,

Being an MBA get any of the opportunity in any industry. Just focus on nurturing your marketing skills and later you can shift to industry of your choice like you mentioned FMCG. But dont be so choosy in initial phase as FMCG industry prefers experienced candidates.

Make an attractive profile and apply for it but don't sit at home, for the mean time join some hotel where you will build relation with people.

It is extremely hard to change one's sector. Having said that, there are two things you should do. Number 1 - make a 'dream list' of companies where you wish to apply and check their websites for openings. Apply online itself. And number 2 - connect with people within your chosen sectors on social media platforms such as LinkedIn. Ask them questions, forward your CV and take it forward.

Last but not the least, this is not an overnight process - so be patient and don't stress yourself out. :)

P.S. I am taking it for granted that you know the FMCG sector inside out. Even though you have not specified a job role - you must come across as someone who knows how to crunch numbers, that's how the interview panel must see you.
