Hi Swathi- The electrical core company is not related to E&C stream, if you are interested to learn about electrical and enjoy being there for your career to be in that stream you can very well begin with, it is a good sector and has growth where you can compare many big companies in india which are into electrical industry compare their growth an see where are the opportunity you can move in your future for growth and prospectus. Finally its your call which industry is good for you. Always decide this which industry you like - what is the growth and development it can give you. What role it will offer you, do you wish and enjoy that role. When you have answers for this you are in the job you like.

The best person to answer this question is YOU. Ask for yourself on the positive and negative aspects of the current job. Weigh them. See what the job can offer you from the personal and career point of views. 3 months post-college is a very small tenure to decide whether the job is fruitful or not. I suspect you will be in probation, so the exposure to the working methodology and work flows will be limited. Ask your supervisor on the future prospectus. You will receive a fair idea. The scope of an industry can best be explained, through the number of jobs that get created in this sector. More jobs means the sector is growing. Also, look at the companies in this sector. Compare their profits. shares over the last 2 years. That gives a fair idea.

Hi Swati, i would like to suggest you that no profile is good or bad. Main thing is your interest which is really a matter of concern. As u said that u r an engg. in E&C;branch. So i must say you have got an opportunity to start with a field of ur interest and hopefully a good company as well.

Always try to learn new things. Take initiatives and never ever give importance to money in first 5 yrs. Learn as much as u can. Maintain healthy relationship with employees of other deptt. and gather the knowledge. And what Raj Singh said earlier is VERY TRUE, so good wishes and have fun :)

Hi, what is important at any job is the profile and how is the same aligned with your long term growth plan.
Please don’t leave job in short duration, it can hamper your career. Stay there for atleast an year, and mean time plan accordingly. Prepare , plan and execute should be the strategy. Best wishes ?
