Myself dinesh, Pursued Full time MBA in marketing and Hr- fresher passed out batch-2013.i really confused of choosing my carrer whether hr or marketing because which one has fastest growth with best salary. so pls guide me which one to choose

Go for marketing side. Initially your pay will be less, as you go on with your experience you can be in good position. if you start for HR it will be difficult to start your career ( if you take in an organisation No of hr will be much lesser than the marketing persons) So marketing is the best area. Another reason is you can switch over easily.
If you have ability to achive target and intrested in accepcting new, big challenges, then Marketing always hiring you. otherwise you will be suit in Human resourse service.

Marketing would be the best option if you are looking for quick growth and high salary. All you needed to have is handling a high pressure. Of course it will take you high if you do so. HR would not be a option for quick growth nor salary.
I would like to tell you simply about the today's market.
both the fields are good at their own place.
but please ask to yourself where you are interested. and go for the area in which you are good.

Hi Dinesh, please dont rush towards growth and salary, see if you opt for a small company you may get good pay as well as better growth prospects, but on the other hand, everyone is not satisfied working with small company. And each and every company has there own hierarchy so growth and money depends on that. I would suggest, as you are a fresher please do not start working on the basis of money, find a better profile which suits you, money can be earned in several ways, but once you start earning good and after sometime you dont find satisfaction in your job, and then start looking for a good profile you may face more difficulties than today. So please find a good profile. And yes marketing and HR depends on your skills, if you are a peoples person you can definitely move into HR but den forget about growth, there you have to be satisfied with your profile. Growth will come automatically. And if you are patient and good at handling pressure with a smile and soft spoken with lot of convincing power marketing is your field. Rest you need to discover as you know yourself better than anyone. Have a happy career ahead!!
Marketing is better option to choose,there are several reasons for that viz,
a)hr jobs pay you less.
b)being an hr keeps you limited in practical knowhow but marketing will certainly update your knowledge base and you can go a long when choosing entrepreneurship as a career
