Myself dinesh, Pursued Full time MBA in marketing and Hr- fresher passed out batch-2013.i really confused of choosing my carrer whether hr or marketing because which one has fastest growth with best salary. so pls guide me which one to choose
Dont use 'myself' like this. Just say 'I am Dinesh'. Okay, coming to the answer to your question, Marketing is having more scope to get a good salary that you are expecting.

As I see from ur qn ,I saw that u r mainly looking for faster growth and best salary,so according to me if u r concentrating on this two ascepts choose marketing ,but be clear in todays market ,marketing is sales .understand the difference between these two bfre going to marketing . Hey Dinesh, i was in a similar situation few yrs back.. But i was destined to get into HR. I agree the opportunities are less but never an bad option to choose as your career. On the other hand marketing is always Green unless you put in your effort to keep it always green.. so choose wise , nothing is bad. You many like this comment, but this is true and a known fact.. Instead of worrying about salary, try to understand where your strengths are, and to which stream you would align more, That should be your choice and selection. Money would automatically come, if you are good at doing that.
In Hr the basic initial pay will be less after 1 yr u may may not get the best package it depends on the company u select but where as marketing every thing will be high package pressure as much hard work u can do u earn that much salary may be less but u earn 3 to 4 times than u r salary
Hi I did b-tech and then joined a mnc in technical as well as marketing domain and I must say the facility and the future prospect I am getting is awesome...but I need to travel a lot and handle a lot of pressure..
my advise for you that ,
you should choose marketing for your career because it is a best option for boys according to me ...... and also gave you a best salary.....

Without any second thought, go for marketing. Just keep in mind the domain experience. If you are working for the sake of money, den go to finance sectr or real estate. But if u want to work for your long term career, for improving your cv, den nvr go for real estate of finance companies, try not losing your graduation line, if its btech computers, den wrk in some IT company for biz devlpment profile or accordingly..Good Luck!
