Hi Nidhin,
What sort of jobs are you aiming for? Let me tell you that the ratio of jobs that are created in Hardware compared to Software is 1:10. This is not to demotivate you. I want to let you know that you need to garner skills, which are apt to getting a job in Electronics. For instance, if you wish to pursue a career in VLSI design and verification; you need to have exposure to industry flows. This exposure is unavailable for an under-graduate. Most students don't even know the insight of a CMOS inverter. Hence, you need to work on developing such skills. You may need a training as well. They offer placement assistance, mostly. The same applies to fields like Embedded system design, Signal processing. Only PSUs and some West-bound companies work on Communication systems and satellites. Getting such jobs may be tough. You can try for an internship/apprenticeship first and later on work for a full time opportunity. If your financials and other conditions work out well, go for higher studies in the field of your choice; and that which combines industry relevance. Since, you are implying that you are frequented by interview calls from Software companies; check if there are jobs that interest you. All the best!
Nidhin.m sir, iam interested to do an internship/apprenticeship what are what are the best companies to start ??? please give me a suggestion

Abhiram.S.R In which domain are you interested? In VLSI-Intel, AMD, TI, ARM and other service companies offer them. Browse over the internet or any job portal like Naukri, you will find many such ones.

If you are dead sure about joining the EC companies then it would not be a cake piece for you.
I was from the same branch & tried a lot.
Options are:
1. try searching as many EC based companied on internet & mail their recruitment/HR team directly, chances are few that they will reply but they may.
2. Anytime you can consult a consultancy for getting opportunities in EC field.

Most of the EC students try in Networking field, but it depends on interest.

Best of Luck.

Since job market for core job is little down, Its difficult to find a job for a new graduate in the desired field. Thousands of engineer are coming out each year and competition is quite high. For recruiters it became difficult to shortlist appropriate candidate from this swarm. Few among the lucky guys may get shortlisted! Recruiters will be searching for appropriate candidates based on their resume. Unless you have a strong resume, chances of getting shortlist is very less. You can apply through official company site as well. Your profile remain there in database. When opening comes they will do a immediate search to shortlist the candidates. So build a good resume, highlight your projects, gain more knowledge. Don't even miss a small chance.
Best of luck
