I will suggest you to join IT/Software, work for at least 2 years, and then either do M.Tech in Electronics/Electrical from a reputed institute or MS from abroad or ME from BITS Pilani, or PG Diploma in a specialized field from C-DAC Pune/Hyderabad. By working for two years you will be able to understand your abilities and be more specific in terms of your interest in core companies. Jobs are hard to find these days, and none of the core companies entertain freshers that easily. Good Luck!

Its very good that you are more interest in Core sectors, but first you have to prepared for it because there is very tough competition out there, and to start your career as in Software Sector it will also give you great opportunity and if you get offer letters from some Software Core company, they also have there Core department where you work in your Core Sector like IBM, HP, INTEL, Siemens, etc.
Now you can choose, it is up to you but if you get joining now don't waste the opportunity because it will help you to understand more and enhancing your skills.
Best of Luck :)

Its upto you that how you get work in which you are good at. Most of companies have their own set of coding or designing structure. As a fresher they would not like to give you that much opportunity to play with core functionality. but you need to be always ready for grabbing the opportunity. From my past experience i can confirm you if you are good at something you will definietly get a chance to show. So, my suggestion will be join somewhere and try to practice your core interest.
Best of luck.

i do had the same anxiety which u r havin now but 1 thing you should know as a fresher gettin into core required gud experince. As in trail comment mentioned working in small company will be a better option as bigger organization wont go for beginner in there core team. Being in samll company there is always a possibility tat u may land into the core division. Higher education is another option but i will say a year exp after tat higher education will give a promising move.
savdeep IF you are MBA guy then exp. do help but in case of MS it dose'nt much!!
Yeah, going into small+ core is always easy..

when u r able 2 secure 75% y dont u try competitive exam and get into core company as MT as u wish. never leave any technical job exam. try again and again. before that u join any where and never look for salary. just know what going on in an industry. what ever u face whether difficulty or happiness its all an experience

Dear Islam,

The problem encountered by you has been encountered by many candidates after completing graduation.

solution 1:

At present, getting a job is easy through on-campus and once if you've a in you hand at this juncture, go for it. Because most of the core companies will ask for experience as they've a inherent mentality that a experienced candidate is capable of learning things in a fast way.

Solution 2: If you're interested, go for Masters and I'm sure you'll have better chances in core as you'll have a upper hand compared to graduates.

Solution 3: If salary is not a criterion for you, better join a very small core company, work until you've got sufficient experience and switch to a better company

As suggesting some thing is easy but its implementation is difficult, start your career at the earliest and my best wishes to you.
