Hai Sruthi,

As an ECE student we have both option in core side or in IT field. But when coming to core side we have demand getting to Core side because in market we are getting everything from other countries and just assembling it, as an B.Tech Engg we are not fit for production which an ITI or diploma student can also do, we have scope only in R&D;project but in India, we have very less scope for R&D;projects, this is about EMBEDDED SYSTEMS. Some them say VLSI is best but we don't have any chip level manufacturing company in INDIA. So it is just waste of time.
SO my suggestion is better u learn one language perfectly and one database such as SQL and I am sure u will have a good scope in the industry.
Wish u ALL THE BEST
