Dear Senthil, Some of the top companies ask for a good academic career throughout but there are lot of remaining companies which need a talent to work for them. Degree is only a formality for them but you should know the skills. GATE is also a good option to go with but there is a vast compitition outside for which you have to prepare a lot. Also you can go for any professional PG course in any technology skills and then they will guide you for a better placement. Best of Luck
