GSV is a Central University under the Ministry of Railways, Govt. of India, was established through the Central Universities (Amendment) Act 2022, and is located in Vadodara, Gujarat. It is India's first University focused on transport and logistics-related education, multi-disciplinary research, and training. The academic programs offered by the University have been designed to create a resource pool of best-in-class professionals suitable for the transportation, logistics, and infrastructure industries in the economy. The Hon. Minister of Railways, Communications, Electronics, and IT, Shri. Ashwini Vaishnaw, is the Chancellor of the University.



We offer a range of academic programs focused on transportation and logistics, including BSc, BBA, B.Tech., MSc, and MBA. Admission to these programs is highly competitive and is based on national-level entrance tests such as JEE, CUET, CAT, MAT, as well as personal interviews. Throughout their curriculum, students undergo rigorous testing to ensure their proficiency in each course. They acquire professional competencies in various domains, including data analytics, optimization, integration of business functions, transport safety and reliability, logistics and supply chain processes, finance and business models, and the implementation of advanced technologies such as IoT and ICT in the transport and supply chain sectors.
