Shankara Institute of Technology is promoted by S.K. Chaudhary Educational Trust and was established in 2001-02. The Institution is affilated to the Rajasthan Technical University, Kota - Rajasthan. It is approved by the All-India Council for Technical Education, (AICTE) Ministry of Human Resources Development, Government of India.
At present the Institute is offering Four-year degree programs of Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.), Three year program of Master of Computer Application (MCA), and a Two year program of Master of Business Administration (MBA).

The SIT's gigantic campus spreading over 27 acres is located away for the humdrum of the city on the Jaipur-Delhi highway, NH-8 at the foothill of Aravali Range in RIICO Industrial Area, Kukas, providing a conducive atmosphere for learning. We have an in-campus hostel facility, a well-stocked library, advance computer lab, a gymnasium, stationery shop, Music room equipped with latest electronically operated musical instruments, cafeteria, sports centre etc.

SIT has today more than 4000 students with almost all important branches of engineering subject, in addition to Post Graduate Courses of MCA & MBA.
