Functional Consultant

What you will do:
  • Understanding of our customer’s requirements by participating in workshops with functional and business owners of the processes and documenting it
  • Work closely with architects to develop the clear functional and technical design and document data requirements and build complex datasets
  • Configure the o9 platform based on the blueprint laid out during design to solve deep operations/supply chain problems
  • Create and execute workflow and data analytics test-cases and document issues and track progress at resolving issues
  • Support Super User and End User training, for a global user base
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of industry best practices, business process, o9’s solutions, technical architecture and value proposition
  • Participate in the complete lifecycle of a project from design to delivery of o9’s solutions to customers across industries and geographies
  • Actively help in improving internal processes and product features based on customer feedback by interfacing with the development and operations teams
What you need/are:
  • Implementing planning applications.
  • Statistical, Optimization and Simulation skills through software tools and packages like R, SAS, CPLEX or similar is desirable.
  • Deep understanding of supply chain planning concepts including Demand Management, Distribution Planning, Master Planning and S&OP.
  • Knowledge and training in databases (SQL Server, MySQL) and skills one or more languages like SQL, MDX, T-SQL or similar is desirable.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel/PowerPoint for analysis and presentation.
  • Strong ability to lead by example and demonstrate proficiency in both product and domain.
  • Patient listener with the ability to clearly articulate your view point to manage and deliver to customer expectations, even under pressure.
  • Ability to analyze and process large amounts of data and complement it with intuition to prioritize and focus on the highest value opportunities or the biggest risks is key.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Design, build and deploy SSIS packages to validate, synthesize and transform customer data for integrated business planning and analytics applications
  • Develop a data model architecture across multiple DBs in line with o9 platform’s data model
  • Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and builds out new API integrations to support continuing increases in data volume and complexity
  • Collaborates with product management and analytics teams to improve data models that feeds the o9 platform
  • Participate in the technical and data analysis design, making analytical recommendations in case of inaccurate or missing data
  • Review, analyze and clean the customer data keeping in mind its technical and functional intent
  • Create and execute test plans, document issues and track progress at resolving issues
What you need/are:
  • Experience with implementing ETL solutions for clients
  • Proficiency in databases (SQL Server, MySQL, No SQL) and skills in multiple languages with knowledge of DDL, DML, stored procedures, schema design and performance tuning is a MUST
  • Some Knowledge of C#/VB.NET/Javascript and analytical languages like R, Python is desirable
  • Experience with big data computing frameworks such as Apache Spark, Hadoop is desirable
  • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills  
  • Patient listener with the ability to clearly articulate individual view points and deliver to product roadmap
  • Ability to take complete ownership of the work and deliver with minimal oversight
